On the petition filed by the party presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, before the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT), Pastor Ekong said the Lagos chapter of the party stood by its flagbearer, just as she cautioned the judiciary to be mindful of the task it was shaddled with as, according to her, all eyes are on it.
“All eyes are on the judiciary, they should be mindful of what they do and do the right thing. They should be mindful of how they handle the case before them. We say, it’s not about self or selfish interest, take the nation first above all others,” the party chieftain said.
The party chairman condemned the proposed N8,000 parliative proposed by President Bola Tinubu to be given to some families across the country to cushion the effects of Fuel Subsidy removal, saying such cannot solve the hardship his administration had imposed on Nigerians.
This was just as she posited that the All Progressives Congress (APC)- led administration, from all indications, cannot manage the nation’s economy effectively, noting that prices of goods and services had since risen beyond expectations making things worse ever in the country’s history.
“Since the APC administration can’t manage the the economy, prices of goods and services have risen beyond expectations. The rise in inflation and devaluation of the currency has made things worst, it has never happened like this in the country before.
“What will N8,000 do for family of eight? We are saying no vehemently. The level of inflation has never been as high as this before, this is sad and unacceptable,” she lamented.
There is hope for Nigerians when we recover our stolen mandate, you will see a new and better Nigeria emerge,” she enthused.
