Gombe State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Muhammad Bello Mu’azu, on Sunday, personally led a show of force of human and material assets in the State capital.
This was sequel to the directives of the Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr Abubakar Ahmed Audi to formations to provide watertight security around critical assets and infrastructure to forestall any act of vandalism, breach of public peace, law and order against the planned #EndBadGovernmentinNigeria Nationwide protest.
The show of force which started from the Command State headquarters on a trek to Jekadafari, Abatcha street down to London Doruwa among other places was intended to show the Command’s readiness and duty to protect the public professionally at all times.
The Command has equally, emplaced robust security measures and has deployed personnel adequately, across all critical assets to prevent any act of vandalism or violence in order to ensure safety and security of all in the State.
CC Muhammad Bello Muazu equally called on the youths to shelve the protest and embrace peaceful paths of agitating their demands within the armpit of the law.
The Corps, will work in synergy with other Security and law enforcement agencies to maintain peace in the state as contained in a statement by SC Buhari Sa’ad, Public Relations Officer.
