‘Empowering unemployed youths my priority’

A philanthropist, Chief Kunle Kareem, has said that youth empowerment has become a priority in his constituency in order to reduce unemployment. 

Speaking during the ground breaking of his foundation, Kunle Kareem Foundation (KKF) in Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo State, Kareem noted that the foundation was put in place to improve the living standard of the downtrodden. 

Kareem, an aspirant of the Oyo State House of Assembly Constituency 1 in Akinyele Local Government Area, added that the foundation had in the past, organised series of trainings for youths as well as empowering widows in the constituency. 

He further noted that he was passionate about empowerment of the people, especially the youth, as a result of his past experience being a human rights activist. 

“As an activist, I am always thinking of what I can do to better the lots of my constituents,” he added. 

Also speaking at the event, chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagelu Local Government, Mr Akinbode Emmanuel, appreciated Kareem for the establishment of the foundation. 

In his remarks, the president, Alliance of Yoruba Youths worldwide, Dr Akande Kazeem said the philanthropic gesture, adding that the gesture would go a long way at improving the living standard of youths in the constituency.
