Emmanuel Ugolee recuperates in US

Veteran broadcaster and host of the Gist show on DSTV, Emmanuel Ugolee, who left Nigeria some months back for a kidney transplant, is said to be recuperating well.

Though, it could not be ascertain as of press time if Ugolee had completed the surgery in the US where he had gone for the operation, it is believed that the media personality is fast-recuperating.

Ugolee stunned many people months before he travelled when he revealed that he had been dealing with a chronic kidney disease for a period of five years.

Friends and family of the broadcaster and some undisclosed kind-hearted Nigerians had raised the sum of N50 million needed for the surgery.

Some pictures of Ugolee that went viral on the social media days back suggested that he could be getting his life back.

Efforts to reach Ugolee in his Maryland base proved abortive, but those who should know informed R that the first phase of the surgery had been concluded while he’s said to be waiting on the next line of action.
