Electricity, germane to survival of any nation —Pastor Akinosun

The President, Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Worldwide, Pastor Abraham Olukunle Akinosun, has said uninterrupted power supply is very important for the prosperity of any nation.

He stated this on Sunday, while addressing newsmen, during the inauguration and induction service of Babalola Region and Pastor Michael Ola Oyepetun as the pioneer Regional Superintendent.

According to him, “Electricity is very important. Any nation whose electricity supply is not functioning properly will be in poverty. The survival of any nation’s economy greatly depends on how stable the electricity of that nation is. The president should ensure availability of electricity for the benefit of Nigerians and also create jobs for the jobless.”

Pastor Akinosun also urged President Muhammadu Buhari to choose new service chiefs from different parts of the country.

He said two weeks ago, four members of his church, who were on their way from Plateau State to Ikeji-Arakeji in Osun State for a programme, were kidnapped.

“They spent seven days with their kidnappers before they were eventually released. The issue is that the nation’s service chiefs are not working or they are probably sabotaging the efforts of the presidency, because they are all from the same part of the country,” he stated.

He urged President Buhari to refrain from contesting in the 2019 election, if he was not sure of serving the country, stating that “I pray for the president always, but I want him to realise that he is elected to serve all Nigerians and not APC members or northerners alone.”

He advised politicians to stop forming unholy alliances, but embrace discipline and humility before God, so that peace would reign in the country.

In his sermon at Christ Apostolic Church, Eleta in Ibadan, he spoke on the theme: The Church is Marching On, and urged the newly ordained regional superintendent, Pastor Oyepetun, not to be weary in fulfilling the purpose, essence and vision of the church.
