President Buhari casting his ballot
President Muhammadu Buhari and First Lady Aisha Buhari have cast their ballots in Daura, Katsina State.
Nigeria’s first couple at around 8.04 am voted in the ongoing governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections.
The President on his arrival at his polling unit in Sarkin Yara A Ward Polling Unit 003 at 8 a.m. and was received by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials, who accredited him after which he voted a few minutes afterwards.
Buhari, while speaking with reporters after casting his ballot, said he was sure security agencies would address issues of violence challenging the peaceful conduct of elections, while on the Peoples Democratic Party challenging his victory at the February 23 presidential poll, Buhari said, “I was expecting it.”
