In a spectacular display of culinary excellence, Eko Hotels & Suites has outdone itself this Christmas season by creating Nigeria’s longest Christmas cake, measuring an impressive 7.5 meters in length. The monumental baking feat shattered the hotel’s previous record of 4.5 meters, set just last year.
The magnificent creation, which required the coordinated efforts of 30 skilled chefs working tirelessly over three days, was unveiled on Christmas day, during the ongoing Tropical Christmas Wonderland. The massive undertaking showcased not only the hotel’s commitment to pushing culinary boundaries but also its dedication to creating memorable holiday experiences for its guests.
“This achievement represents months of planning and preparation,” said Chef Zuheir El dika, who led the ambitious project. “Coordinating 30 chefs to work in perfect harmony while maintaining consistent quality throughout the cake’s entire length was a significant challenge, but our team’s dedication made it possible.”
In keeping with the spirit of Christmas, the hotel management ensured that several guests and families got to participate in the historic moment by sharing pieces of the enormous treat.
The hotel’s management expressed their satisfaction with the project’s success and hinted at even more ambitious plans for the coming year, suggesting that this record-breaking cake might not hold its title for long.
