A presidential aspirant under the ruling party, All Progressive congressive (APC), Mr Adamu Garba, has congratulated Ekiti State Governor-elect, Dr Kayode Fayemi, on his victory in the July 14 poll.

Mr Garba described Dr Fayemi as a man magnanimous in victory, stating that the people of Ekiti deserve a visionary leader like the former Minister of Power and Steel.

“I received with great delight, the news of your remarkable victory in the just concluded Ekiti elections. It was an election I followed with keen interest because I believe the people of Ekiti deserve a visionary leader with a worldview, something you not only embody but have consistently demonstrated.

“I congratulate you and moreso the people of Ekiti who have made a sound and thoughtful decision.

“Your Excellency, as you were magnanimous in defeat in 2014, I urge that you show a lot more magnanimity in victory as the job of rebuilding Ekiti is the job of the collective.

“Most importantly, the people of Ekiti yearn for a better life and I am confident that you will not do your best but will simply deliver.

“My prayers are with you, Your Excellency, and I wish you a successful tenure,” Garba said.
