Vengeance should be sweet, especially when you have your “enemy” where you wanted him. But vengeance isn’t any human being’s franchise. It’s God’s. If anyone insists on making things happen in the election, because it is Fayose, who may not enjoy public sympathy because of his alleged past sin, when God isn’t using the Ekiti electorate to make such things happen, things would happen to such persons and their backers. This is a prophesy, not an assumption of whatever is deemed the antecedent of the Ekiti people to an undesirable end in political contests which they have to determine. The patience exhibited by Bayelsans, waiting for election result in two local governments for close to a week, isn’t also likely to be a way of life for the educated but very ilu-oke people of Ekiti state. If both the divine and human are ignited at a go, the end-result may surpass imaginations.
But Fayemi’s chances of returning to sleep again on the controversial high-end bed he purchased for the equally-controversial government house he built, are beyond outside. Fayose’s men who were once his wole-wole, but now romancing Fayemi, both openly and secretly, could be the former governor’s saving grace again, just like Aluko, who did what he had to do, before returning home to Buroda Ayo, his self-confessed benefactor, to collabo. Can any living specimen go lower than these fellows called politicians?
Months back, I saw Ayodele Fayose in two visions and I wasn’t praying for him. In the first, a stage was made for him to sing and an orchestra was well laid-out for him. But a bath was prepared on the sideline for him which he was expected to take, before mounting the stage. He adamantly wanted to mount the stage without the bath. Next moment, he was naked, had stopped arguing with the lady who was to give him the bath and totally subdued. He didn’t mount the stage before I got up. I got the understanding but won’t say it here.

In the second vision, he was engaged in a shoot-out with a mighty force arrayed against him. I saw a couple of white men join the gun-job against him. He was selfless in the battle as he was also seen protecting a few others. Interestingly, he finished off all his opponents, taking down the two white mercenaries with his last shots. But he appeared fatally wounded. He was gasping for his last breath, but didn’t give up the ghost, before I got up. I also got the understanding, but won’t be saying it here.
Nearly all PDP bigwigs in Ekiti today have deserted Fayose and working for his humiliation. I gathered the main grouse is the outgoing fellow using a piece of bean cake to pacify too many wailing and power-hungry political children. Yoruba consider such a fellow as alarekereke (slippery fellow). Hausa would say such person is engaging in manafiki. Except the few Yemi Osinbajos in the polity, who should and must have their gaze firmly on making heaven and spreading the good news of Jesus using their elevated positions for selfless service to humanity, who among the politicians crucifying Ayo Fayose today as a gamer, would in good conscience cast the first stone against him, were God to judge hypocrisy with immediate alacrity?
Isn’t wayo the real essence of the game? In the halcyon days, wayo used to be the exclusive perceptive preserve of Urhobo people. This isn’t ethnic profiling. It was a coinage not totally out of sync with the realities of the 40s in relation to the people. But everyone is now cool with Urhobo waado, because no part of the nation, can in good conscience, tag the other as “player”, without being first asked to remove the beam in its own eye. Such “gaming” isn’t limited to politicians. Their twin in the business world, are as bad in every logical essence of the word. Everyone is “playing” the next exploitable fellow. The fear of God is nearly completely replaced with the fear of lack, simply because men lack knowledge. Who can give if not the Owner of heaven and the earth. If you want to know how bad we have sunk spiritually and morally, check an average bustling market. Men with worship tambourine will be speaking in tongues and cheating you. If you expect me to hang Ndigbo here, I will simply ask you to look closely. Other ethnic stocks understudying the masters, are close to breaking records.
Fayose is a warrior but I testify he doesn’t fight all battles as assumed. I, however, have my doubts, if he prioritises his battles and why he thinks he should spend all his public life, fighting. Oppositional politics isn’t only necessary but absolutely desirable. As opposition element, Fayose hasn’t done badly. But was he reckless, especially in those giddy days of uncertainty over the president’s ailment. With his years and understanding of the Nigerian politics and its main players, he should by now, know that applause may come in, very few, when it is time for the battles to rage. That is why he can’t afford to waste time chasing shadows, either in governance or politics. Time is running out on him and this has got nothing to do with whatever those in higher authority may be scheming for him, either over his controversial trip to China when the president was also there, or the never-ending Dasukigate and Diezanimania. Man can only propose..(To be continued).
