Eid-el-Kabir: CP orders water-tight security in Kogi

The Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Police Command, CP Akeem Yuusuf has ordered water-tight security across the State for peaceful Eid-El-Kabir Celebrations.

The CP gave the order on Monday during the monthly Conference with senior Officers, Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and Tactical and operational Commanders in the State.

He charged the Officers to beef up security ahead of the celebration to prevent any untoward situation in their Area of Responsibility (AOR) throughout the period and beyond.

He further tasked all Divisional Police Officers to put in measures that ensure a peaceful and hitch-free celebration.

They are equally directed to deploy other operational assets to carry out confidence building and crime prevention patrol on major highways, residential and vulnerable points, places of worship and other places of interest.

The CP while congratulating the Muslim Faithfuls in the State on the occasion of 2023 Eid-El Kabir   celebration, reiterates the Command’s level of preparedness and commitment in working synergy with other Security services in ensuring adequate security of lives and properties and denying space for criminal elements to thrive in and around the State.

The Commissioner  enjoins the good people of Kogi State to remain security conscious through out the period, while calling on all law abiding citizens for their cooperation to curtail any act of criminality in the State.
