Eid-El-Fitri, season of forgiveness, understanding — Akande-Sadipe

The lawmaker representing the Oluyole federal constituency, Tolulope Akande-Sadipe, has called for forgiveness and understanding among Nigerians as the world celebrates Eid-el-Fitr, adding that it is the season for reflection, renewal, and rejoicing.

Akande-Sadipe, in a message she personally signed on Wednesday, said, “It is a time to reaffirm our commitment to the principles of compassion, forgiveness, and understanding. As we gather with family, friends, and loved ones, let us embrace the spirit of forgiveness, seeking reconciliation and healing in our relationships.

“May Allah grant us the wisdom to learn from our mistakes and the strength to forgive others. Let us extend a hand of kindness and compassion to those in need to embody the true essence of Eid-El-Fitr.

“In these challenging times, marked by uncertainty and adversity, let us draw inspiration from the teachings of Islam, which emphasise the importance of resilience, faith, and unity. Together, we can overcome any obstacle and build a brighter future for all.

“On this auspicious occasion, I wish you and your families a joyous Eid filled with peace, love, and blessings. May Allah shower His mercy and grace upon you, guiding you on the path of righteousness and prosperity,” she added.
