Eid-el-fitr: Three die in Lagos-Ibadan expressway accident

Three persons, two male and one female adults, died in a lone accident around Fidiwo Bridge, on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, on Wednesday.

The Federal Road Safety Corps, Education Officer, Ogun Command, Florence Okpe, said the accident was a result of tyre bust, due to excessive speed on the part of the driver of the Toyota Jeep marked BDG213BJ, which crashed under the bridge.

Okpe said five passengers were in the ill-fated vehicle which left two others injured.

She said, “The cause of the lone crash was Tyre bust speed which led to lose of control and the vehicle crash under the bridge.

“The injured victims were taken to Victory Hospital Ogere while the corpses were deposited at FOS MORGUE IPARA.

“FRSC Ogun advised motorists to drive within the stipulated speed limit and always go on a routine check to detect any fault on a vehicle.
