The Lawmaker representing Ibadan Northwest/Southwest Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, Honourable Adedeji Stanley Olajide has called for unity among Nigerians while celebrating Ed-el-fitr.
Speaking from Saudi Arabia, where he is on Umrah (Lesser Hajj) Olajide, popularly known as Odidi Omo, said this is the time for Muslims, Christians and traditionalists to unite as one family and also imbibe the spirit of love among ourselves.
He charged muslims to sustain the ideals and principles of Ramadan as they end the months today.
He described the Islam as a religion of peace saying “As we are celebrating the Ed-el-fitr today, I want to charge all the muslim to maintain the spirit of peace and unity among ourselves, especially what we learnt and imbibed during the month of Ramadan. The benefits of perseverance, sacrifice and endurance must not be wasted in our day-to-day activities.
“I’m also using this opportunity to encourage our people to pray for our country because this is the time we need fervent worship as a new government is coming on board,” he said.
