The Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Police Command, CP Bethrand C. Onuoha, had heartily felicitated Muslims on the occasion of the 2024 Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.
In a press statement issued on Tuesday, the CP equally congratulated them for the successful completion of the fast in the holy month of Ramadan.
The CP said he has orders for water-tight security across the state before, during, and after the celebrations.
He further charged all the Divisional Police Offices, as well as their Supervisory Area Commanders and Tactical and Operational Commanders, to beef up security within their Area of Responsibilities, ensure massive deployment of patrol teams along the major highways, and undercover operations to black spots, flashpoints, and other vulnerable criminal spots to nip in the bud all forms of crime and criminality across the state and make sure that detection of crimes is prompt to serve as an effective deterrent to all criminals.
The CP reiterates the command’s unwavering commitment to working in synergy with other security agencies as well as critical stakeholders to ensure the safety of lives and property.
To this end, the CP urges the good people of the state to continue to collaborate with the security forces with prompt and credible information on the activities of criminals to curtail their acts.
