ITB BerlinITB BerlinWith its two Speed Dating events on 8 March 2018, ITB Berlin will be offering buyers and bloggers an opportunity to network efficiently with exhibitors and establish valuable contacts in the shortest possible time. In the morning members of the ITB Buyers Circle can attend the ITB Speed Networking event where they will be able to meet exhibitors from Germany and abroad. In the afternoon experienced travel bloggers will be offered 8-minute time slots in order to exchange views with partners from the global tourism industry. Participants can make use of the ITB Matchmaking Tool for appointments in the run-up to both events.

The ITB Speed Networking event, where leading buyers belonging to the ITB Buyers Circle can get together with exhibitors, is being held at ITB Berlin 2018 for the fourth time and is scheduled to take place from 9.30 to 11 a.m. This year’s event, which will be held at the CityCube Berlin on Level B, is being sponsored by Guatemala, the ‘Heart of the Mayan World’. ITB Berlin will be writing to exhibitors to extend a personal invitation to the ITB Speed Networking event. Following this invitation co-exhibitors will also be able to register. Buyers and exhibitors who wish to emphasise particular interests and key topics in order to find matching partners can do so in their profile descriptions. Participants may only attend the networking event by pre-arranged appointment and will receive a short list of confirmed dates before the event. On 8 March, they can make use of up to nine eight-minute slots for face-to-face meetings. That way, participants will be able to make the most of their newly established contacts. The Speed Networking event also lets them expand their business horizon and explore new destinations and products. The ITB Blogger Speed Dating event will also be offering 8-minute slots to enable exhibitors and travel bloggers to get together, introduce their respective portfolios and talk about ideas and opportunities for joint ventures. By using the ITB Matchmaking Tool they can arrange up to nine appointments in advance. The ITB Blogger Speed Dating event will take place on Thursday, 8 March 2018 from 4.30 to 6 p.m. at the CityCube in Hall B. In order to take part free of charge participants must previously obtain accreditation as a blogger for ITB Berlin 2018. Another advantage is the Blogger Base @ ITB Berlin, a lounge area which ITB will be providing for bloggers again this year. From 7 to 9 March 2018 the movie theatre at the Marshall Haus in the middle of the exhibition grounds will be transformed into a relaxing working space. From 9.30 a.m. to 6 p.m. this is where bloggers can network, blog or simply come to charge their smartphones, tablets and laptops. As well as using charging points and relaxing in a quiet atmosphere visitors can also connect to free Wi-Fi.
