EFCC recovers N277m in 431 cases and 195 arrest

THE Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Ibadan zonal headquarter has disclosed that it has recovered about N277,931,341.31k in 431 cases, 195 arrests while 50 of the cases are currently at various levels in courts.
This was disclosed on Monday morning by the deputy zonal heal, Ibadan, Kazeem Oseni, while briefing journalists on the activities of the agency in the last few months.
He added that the recovered sum is a big leap from N57 million that the agency recovered last year.
The zonal headquarters which began operation in March 2016, Oseni said had prevalent cases in the zone as Internet fraud, land, bank fraud and land disputes.
