“The public is hereby notified that the persons whose photographs appear above are wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for fraud allegedly perpetrated on an online trading platform called Crypto Bridge Exchange (CBEX),” the notice read.

The EFCC urged anyone with useful information about the whereabouts of the suspects to contact its offices in Ibadan, Enugu, Kano, Lagos, Gombe, Port Harcourt, or Abuja, or reach out via the provided telephone numbers and email address.

The Commission also encouraged the public to notify the nearest police station or any other security agency.

Tribune Online reports that CBEX, a Chinese-operated online investment platform, has been at the centre of a multi-billion-naira fraud scandal for the past few days after disappearing with funds belonging to thousands of Nigerians.

The scheme had lured investors with promises of high returns on digital asset trades before going offline without warning.

CBEX’s downfall affected a wide range of Nigerians, including popular Ibadan-based Fuji musician Taye Adebisi, popularly known as Taye Currency, who lost N10 million after being introduced to CBEX by close associates.
