Mr Innocent Chukwuma of Innosson Motors
The operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested Mr Innocent Chukwuma, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Innoson Group.
This was disclosed on Tuesday by the company in a series tweets it posted on its Twitter handle, claiming that its CEO was arrested without prior invitation.
Innoson Group in its tweets blamed the Guarantee Trust Bank (GTB) for the arrest of its CEO, Mr Chukwuma.
The company via its Twitter handle, @innosonmotors, wrote: “GTB vs Innoson ‘illegal Arrest’ hundreds of factory workers from Innoson factory Emene Enugu protests the illegal bundling of Innoson to Lagos by EFCC organised by GTB.
“Like a commando style, GTB uses EFFC to storm Innoson Enugu Residential Home to bundle him to Lagos like a common criminal without any prior invitation.
The company which said the dispute between Innoson Group and GTB began in 2012, also said in November, the police had withdrawn the charges against its CEO, Mr. Chukwuma.
