EFCC arrests 39 internet fraudster suspects in Benin

The Benin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) apprehended 39 individuals suspected of internet fraud in various locations within Benin City on Wednesday, May 8, 2024.

This announcement was shared through the verified X platform of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), @officialEFCC.

Acting on actionable intelligence, the suspects were targeted for their alleged involvement in computer-related fraud.

Among the items seized were eight high-end vehicles, including Mercedes-Benz GLK 350, Mercedes-Benz C300, Lexus RX350, and Toyota Camry, along with laptops and mobile phones.

Pending the completion of investigations, the suspects are set to face court proceedings.
