Education is real empowerment — Osun lawmaker, Adeyemi

Honourable Adewumi Adeyemi, representing Obokun State Constituency in the Osun State House of Assembly has completed the second phase of his Entrepreneurship Training Program, empowering 200 young women with essential skills and knowledge to build successful businesses.

The three-day event, held in Ilare-Ijesa, was in partnership with the Enterprise Development Centre, Pan-Atlantic University, and the Adewumi Adeyemi Foundation.

The lawmaker in July had trained and empowered 200 women in entrepreneurship from his constituency.

The traning, accordinf to him, aims to equip participants with essential entrepreneurial knowledge and skills, fostering economic self-reliance and sustainable development.

Adeyemi, popularly known as Irekandu, reiterated his commitment to empowering young women, stating, “Education is the real empowerment, and I will continue to support these women as they apply what they’ve learned.”

The program, in partnership with the Enterprise Development Centre and the Adewumi Adeyemi Foundation, aims to empower women through education and provide practical tools for economic empowerment.

Hon. Adeyemi reiterated his commitment to the empowerment of young women in his constituency, stating, “This initiative goes beyond politics; it is about equipping our women with the knowledge and resources they need to succeed.

“Education is the real empowerment, and I will continue to support these women as they apply what they’ve learned to grow their businesses and contribute positively to their communities.”

The entrepreneurship training program, structured in phases, will continue to roll out in the coming months, with hundreds more young women from across the constituency expected to benefit.

Many were excited about the benefits the program offered, which included not only valuable training but also continued support in their journey toward economic empowerment.
