Lawmakers assure Edo University of projects completion

THE speedy completion of ongoing projects at the Edo University Iyamho will soon be realized following assurance to the management of the institution by Edo State House of Assembly committee on education.

The Chairman of the Committee, Mr. Osaigbovo Iyoha who spoke yesterday at Iyamho, near Auchi, Etsako West Local Government Area, when he led other members to the university for on the spot assessment of the facilities in the school expressed confidence in the acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Emmanuel Aluyor’s ability to make the university a world class university.

Iyoha, the majority whip said that the committee will work with the executive towards realizing its set goals for the university which was built by All Progressives Congress (APC) national chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.

The lawmaker said: “I am highly impressed with the facilities available in the university. I want to thank the vice chancellor as he is doing a great job with his team in the university.”

Aluyor who conducted the lawmakers round the chemical, computer, electrical/electronic laboratories among other facilities said that with the visit by the committee the university will improve on the facilities already available noting that the lawmakers have indeed been of immense support in the past.

He added: “I must say I am proud to have this set of people representing us in the state house of assembly, and I think that they have demonstrated that when a child is doing well he needs to be encouraged.”
