Edo guber: Ighodalo’s wife embarks on roadshow campaign

The wife of the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) candidate for the governorship election in Edo State, Mrs Ifeyinwa Ighodalo, on Tuesday, embarked on a roadshow in Benin to solicit votes for her husband, Asue Ighodalo.

The campaign which was attended by a large crowd of women that included the Arewa women community, kicked-off from the National Museum ground, Ring road in Benin and went round the city centres .

This is even as women drawn from Oredo, Ikpoba-Okha and Egor local government areas also joined Mrs Ighodalo and her entourage to campaign for the PDP candidate.

Mrs Ighodalo called on the people not only to come out en masse on the election day, but also to vote for her husband, who she opined would deliver the dividends of good governance to them if elected as governor.

Expressing her support for the candidature of the PDP guber candidate, Mrs. Philomena Osaro from Oredo ward 3, assured the wife of the candidate that she and the women in the ward would be voting massively for the PDP in the election.

“Come Sept. 21, Mr. Asue Ighodalo is going to be voted for by the people and he is going to win this election. Everybody is going to come out to vote for him because he has the capacity.

“He is a man with compassion for his people and he is very accessible. He is the man that is qualified to occupy the Osadebe Avenue (Edo State Government House),” she said .
