Edo guber: APC chieftain gives grants, mobilises for Okpebholo

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Terry Igiebor has given grant of N50,000 each to 150 young people and women to empower them and also called on them to vote for the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Monday Okpebholo, and his running mate, Dennis Idahosa.

Igiebor said the grant would help those already in business to expand while those who intended to start small scale business could start with that.

He said the gesture was also in the honour of his late father, Chief Emmanuel Igiebor, who he said had unwavering commitment to the development and prosperity of the people of Orhionmwon.

“Our youths and women are the backbone of our community, and with this grant, I hope to give you a stepping stone to grow, succeed, and bring back prosperity to Orhionmwon.

“Today, I ask you to reflect on the brighter future we can build together. A future where Orhionmwon is not left behind, but instead rises to the forefront of Edo State’s development. This dream can become a reality through the leadership and governance we choose.

“I stand before you, urging each and every one of you-both those here at home and those of you in the diaspora-to mobilize, to rally your friends, families, and loved ones to support and vote for our APC candidates in the forthcoming Edo State Governorship Election.

“We are at a pivotal moment. Our deputy governorship candidate, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa, is our son. His mother hails from Ugboko here in Orhionmwon, and we must seize this golden opportunity to have one of our own in the government.

The APC chieftain added that with Idahosa as deputy governor, the people could be sure that Orhionmwon would receive its fair share of the dividends of good governance.

The deputy governorship candidate, he noted “understands the unique challenges we face, and he will ensure that our voices are heard and our needs are met.

“By voting for Senator Monday Okpebholo as Governor and Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa as his deputy, we are not just casting a vote for APC; we are casting a vote for the progress, peace, and prosperity of Orhionmwon.

“We are casting a vote for better infrastructure, improved education, more opportunities for our youth, and greater empowerment for our women. We are casting a vote for a future that our children and their children can be proud of.

“Let us not take this opportunity for granted. Let us show the world that Orhionmwon stands united, that we are ready to support our own, and that we are determined to make our mark in Edo State’s future. Every single vote counts. Every single voice matters.”
