ECWA President sympathises with Borno govt over flood disaster

The President, Evangelical Church Wining All (ECWA), Reverend (Dr) Job Ayuba Bagat Mallam, has expressed deep concern and unwavering support to the government and people of Borno State over the recent flood in parts of the state.
Reverend Mallam, in a statement made available to the Tribune online, stated that the impact of the flood had been profound, adding that the thoughts and prayers of the church are with the countless families grappling with the aftermath.
“As reports of widespread devastation emerge from states including Borno, Yobe, Adamawa, and others, we stand united in mourning for those who have lost their homes, livelihoods, and loved ones.
“The impact of this natural disaster has been profound, and our thoughts and prayers are with the countless families grappling with the aftermath.”
He called on the government, relevant agencies, religious bodies, and other well-meaning Nigerians to provide emergency supplies such as food, water, clothing, shelter, and medical assistance to the affected areas.
Reverend Mallam further implored the government and humanitarian organizations to prioritize recovery efforts and provide the necessary resources to rebuild the devastated communities and put preventive measures in place to safeguard them against future occurrences.
