ECOWAS, COMAFAS train 150 Nigerian youths on poultry, fishery

The Directorate of Agriculture and Rural Development at the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) in partnership with the Community Allied Farmers Association of Nigeria (COMAFAS) will on Tuesday, commence the training of 150 youth on poultry and fishery production.

This is part of ECOWAS regional strategy for youth employability in the Agricultural and food sector.

The Founder and President of COMAFAS, Dr. Austine Maduka disclosed this while interacting with journalists on Monday in Abuja.

The Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari and Ms Massandje Litsé Touré, ECOWAS Commissioner for Economic Affairs, are expected to attend the event.

According to Dr Maduka, the training will commence at Kwa’da Farms, Karshi in Abuja after the opening ceremony.
