The chief of staff to the president, Femi Gbajabiamila, is currently presiding over a meeting of the Presidential Food Committee summoned over the rising cost of produce in the country.
The emergency meeting is ostensibly prompted by the protests that have broken out in parts of the country over the rising costs of food items.
Others in attendance are the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, as well as some ministers
Including Ministers of Education, Dr Tahir Mamman; Finance, Wale Edun; Agriculture, Abubakar Kyari; Minister of State for Agriculture, Mustapha Shehuri; and the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Yemi Cardoso.
