Economic hardship: How to make valentine memorable with your partner

That time of the year is here again! I know you’re wondering how you will celebrate this year’s Valentine amidst the economic situation in Nigeria. Don’t burden yourself on what to do for your partner on Valentine’s day. Making each other feel important is enough. Below is how you can make Valentine special.

1 Pray for yourselves

Face each other and thank God for making you one. Appreciate the kindness God has used your spouse for in your life. Thank Him for the love you both share and for it to continue to flourish. You can do this in the morning before setting out for work.

2 Prepare a special Delicacy

On Valentine’s day you can decide to prepare a meal you don’t usually prepare. Make your spouse know you decided to mark Valentine with it. It could be fried rice, coconut rice with fried fish, meat or chicken. You can also try pasta – just make it exciting.

3 A Gift

Based on the economic situation in Nigeria, you don’t have to go overboard with your gift. Well, if you can afford it why not. You can give your spouse a card, bracelet, wristwatch, flower, roll on or a perfume. What matters is the love that comes with it.

4 Love Song

Sing your favorite love song and dance to it. Look into each others eyes; don’t be shy with your partner. Talk silently into each others ears and hug tightly.

5 Text Message

You can send a message to your spouse reiterating the love you share. This can be after you’ve acknowledged each other before going to work. Sending a love  message during the day will just make it sweeter.

All you have read are tips that can make Valentine pleasant for you and your partner. Regardless of the economic situation in the country, you can still make each other happy.
