ECDA calls for calmness, says it would decide fate on gov candidates

THE President of Eggon Cultural Association of Nigeria (ECDA), Comrade Ali James Mamza, has called on its people to remain calm, the association would soon take ultimate decision on who Eggon people should support among their four sons vying for the Nasarawa state governorship position.

Mamza, who made the pronouncement at the emergency meeting of the highest decision-making body of the association (NRC), saying it is time for the Eggon people to unite and forget about their personal interest.

He lamented that despite the association effort to unite Eggon’s aspirants before the last primaries election failed, and metamorphosed into having four candidates battling for number one position, “and with this we are dividing our votes into four or five, because there are some that would vote for the ruling party (APC) or be neutral.”

The president who admitted that they are in a difficult moment cautions its people to stop condemning each other instead be prayerful, considering who amongst them will fit in the position.

“We sat together with our people during the primary for one to step down for the other in the two major parties, but they all refused. This time we shall call all state representative to decide for us. It would no longer be business as usual, and we shall work with the majority view,” he stated.
