THE Old Students of the School of Arabic and Islamic Studies, Afikpo (OSSAISA), in Ebonyi State, has condoled with the victims of the floods which ravaged Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.
OSSAISA, in a statement signed by the Ameer (President), Mr Ibrahim Tayyib and Public Relations Officer, Saleem Abdus-Salam, prayed Allah to bring relief, succour and breakthrough to those affected.
The statement reads in part: “May Allah’s peace, mercy and blessings be upon you. Life’s ups and downs remind us that Allah’s plans are perfect. In times of hardship, wisdom dictates gratitude and praise to the Almighty. The recent devastating floods in Borno State, resulting in loss of lives and displacement of millions weigh heavily on our hearts.
“The Old Students of the School of Arabic and Islamic Studies, Afikpo (OSSAISA) worldwide shares the grief and sorrow of Borno’s residents, particularly the flood victims.
“We offer heartfelt condolences and consolations to the affected. May Allah bring relief, succour and breakthrough to Borno and other states facing environmental or insecurity challenges. May He guide leaders to take righteous actions, restoring comfort and peace. Peace is life’s greatest blessing. May Allah abundantly reserve peace for our beloved Nigeria.”
