Ebonyi poly Rector lauds Tinubu for signing student loan bill into law

Published by

The Rector of Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic, Unwanna, Afikpo, Ebonyi State, Dr Felix Attah, has commended President Tinubu for signing into law the student loan bill.

According to the Rector, the bill would afford aspiring students from all socio-economic backgrounds the opportunity to attain higher education.

The rector stated this in the polytechnic while addressing the newly admitted students of the school at the weekend.

Attah called on students in the country to take advantage of the President’s efforts in the education sector for a better tomorrow.

He noted that Nigerians, especially those from poor economic backgrounds, would forever be grateful to the president.

“Recently, the President of our dear country, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, signed the much-anticipated Student Loan Bill into law.

“This is very laudable because aspiring students from all socio-economic backgrounds in Nigeria will be provided with the needed financial support for higher education.

“I therefore, on behalf of the present and future Nigerian students, particularly those from poor families, who will be benefiting from this loan scheme, wish to sincerely commend and thank the President for revolutionising access to higher education in Nigeria through this singular gesture. Nigerians, particularly those from indigent families, will forever be grateful,” he stated.

He, however, warned the newly admitted students of the polytechnic against cultism and other social vices, as according to him, the institution has zero tolerance for cultism and social vices.
