To eradicate cervical cancer among the female gender, Wife of Ebonyi Governor, Chief Uzoamaka Nwifuru has set aside May 25th for the flag off of the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) vaccination.
According to her, the programme will be targeting young girls between the ages of 9 to 14 years.
Mrs Nwifuru disclosed this in Ezza North Local Government Area during the official inauguration of her pet project Better Health for Rural Women, children, and Internally Displaced Foundation, yesterday.
She also disclosed that BERWO is partnering Ebonyi State Primary Health Care Development Agency in the campaign against HPV (Human Papilloma Virus).

Commissioning a primary School 3 Classroom block and one pump borehole at Ndeguazu Umuoghara Community, the governor’s wife added that BERWO foundation came out of her desire to make positive impact, uplift communities, and create a better world for future generations.

On his part, chairman of Ezza North local government area, Stephen Ogodo Ali Nomeh promised to support the programme of the Governor’s wife.
“Ezza North people will support your programmes.
“Her Excellency’s visit to Ezza North Local Government Area also marks the official beginning and implementation of her pet project, BERWO,” he stated.
