Easter: Reps Minority Caucus task Christians on spiritual renewal

As Nigerians celebrate Easter, the Minority Caucus in the House of Representatives has urged citizens not to despair but rather to rekindle their faith in God and recommit to the vision of a peaceful, united, secure, and prosperous nation.

In a statement issued to mark the occasion, the Minority Leader, Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, emphasized the essence of Easter as a celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, which serves as a reminder of God’s eternal love and salvation for mankind.

According to Hon. Elumelu, the resurrection of Jesus Christ symbolizes the triumph of life over death, light over darkness, peace over chaos, and hope over despair, offering a glimmer of hope in the face of Nigeria’s current political, economic, and social challenges.

“While our Caucus recognizes that most Nigerians are hurting at this time over apprehensions that their hope of a better nation, which they expressed at various levels in the 2023 general elections is being jeopardized, we remain hopeful that the Will of the people will surely triumph at the end of the day,” he said.

Hon. Elumelu further urged Nigerians to remain united, law-abiding, and show love to one another, encouraging them to use the Easter period to renew their commitment to justice and the betterment of the nation.

The Minority Caucus extended warm greetings to Nigerians, wishing them a happy Easter celebration, as the country continues to grapple with various challenges.
