The Kano state command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has said that the command has deployed 1,384 personnel to churches and Christian worshipping places as well as to strategic locations for peaceful and hitch-free Good Friday and Easter Monday in the state.
SC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, command public relations officer, disclosed this in a statement made available on Friday to the press in Kano
According to the statement, personnel have been drawn from the Operation Department, Critical National Assets Protection Department, Armed Squad, and Anti-Vandalism Units to complement the efforts of those at the divisional offices in providing adequate security during and after the Easter celebrations in the state.
