NATIONAL President of the Islamic Progressives Association of Nigeria (IPAN), Sheikh Rahman Adegboyega Lawal, has called on the federal and state governments to proffer immediate solutions to the pains and agonies of the Nigerian masses.
Sheikh Lawal, who made the call in a pre-Ramadan message, lamented the rate of poverty in the land, saying a good number of Nigerians are experiencing tough times due to lack of electricity, joblessness and high cost of foodstuffs.
The cleric urged the governments to take measures to salvage the situation and heal the nation as many people have placed their trust in them.
Sheikh Lawal admonished Nigerians not to dwell in hopelessness to the point of seeking solutions to their problems in the wrong quarters.
He called on Nigerians to always respect constituted authorities and wish them well, while they trust in God for intervention in the country’s problems.
The cleric asked government at all levels to put in place sound economic frameworks to tackle unemployment.
