Dungarees are back!

Published by

Fashion is always going round in circles, so, it is not a surprise that  the 80s and 90s popular fashion staple, dungarees are back.

Originally, workmen’s clothes, dungarees are one-piece clothing that is worn with a shirt or tank top underneath. Famously sewn with jean and codrow fabric, dungarees now come in cotton fabrics, silk, and so on. Whether sewn as skirt or trousers, dungarees are fun to wear. ‘God win’ crooner and Mavin Record star, Korede Bello, caused a stir at the last MTV Africa Music Video Awards, when he showed up at the red carpet wearing dungarees.

While some fashion critics dubbed his style as a fashion fail and likened him to dressing like a plumber, Korede Bello, in his reaction ‘owned’ the style and defended it as being edgy.

Dungarees romper, like the one Stella Jadore is rocking in this picture is super cute. To make dungarees work, heels are an essential, as are accessories.
