Drugs allegations against Bola Tinubu fake news, says Cross River APC

The widespread allegations against Nigeria’s President-Elect, Bola Tinubu are seen, described and perceived as fake news by the All Progressive Congress APC.

The stance on the drug Allegations was swiftly revealed by the Cross River state Chapter of the APC in Calabar while briefing Journalists on post-election matters in the state.

According to Barrister Alphonsus Ogar Eba, who is the State Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Cross River state: “I don’t like carrying fake News. what is said about our Presidential candidate, who now is the President-Elect, on allegations of being a drug Barron or whatever remains in the realm of what I call fake news.

“And am sure that those that are behind all that, they would have their day to meet in Court. let me not say further on that.”

The APC Boss further Mentioned, that even the United States Government, has said Bola Ahmed Tinubu is not under any such investigation as Drug.

“And I have a report, as far back as many years ago when the then Tafa Balogun the IG of Police had reason to write to the deportment of the US on issues bordering about this Drug issue, and that reply came that the man was not under any such investigation.

“This era of pseudo Journalistic Practice by people who are privileged to own phones, buy credit and are given free data, has reduced journalism to nothing. It is Social Media fake News.”

Recall that one of the petitions at the elections Petitions Tribunal, particularly that from the Labour Party is also linked to drug-related allegations against the President-Elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
