Dr. Rhoda becomes Philantropist of the year

Founder of DROMI, Dr Rhoda Makinde has been awarded the Philanthropist of the year by City People Media Group.

This was in recognition of her numerous philanthropic activities and the huge impact achieved through the DROMI Women Empowerment Initiative.

The Chairman, City People Media Group, Ambassador Seye Kehinde presented this award recently at the Royal Parklane Hotels in Akure.

In attendance at the historic event were Dr Mrs Funke Adejumo of the Agape Ministries, The Wife of Ondo State Governor, Mrs Betty Anyanwu Akeredolu, royal fathers and many other dignitaries.

It would be recalled that the Wife Of The House Of Representatives-Elect, Ondo East/West Federal Constituency, Hon. Abiola Makinde, through the DROMI foundation, has empowered thousands of women spread across communities in Ondo state.

DROMI vision is to transform thousands of lives through evidence-based programs that focus on expanding women’s economic opportunities, increasing women’s rights and security, and advancing women’s political participation through an integrated approach that promotes gender equality across communities and the larger society.
