Published by

Dr Freeman Osonuga, a Nigerian medical doctor and entrepreneur, has defied expectations and carved a unique path in the world of technology.

From his early days as a medical student to his current role as a tech investor and business leader, Osonuga has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to innovation and a remarkable ability to bridge the gap between medicine and technology. With a diverse range of interests, including prop tech, fintech, space tech, and agritech, he has steadily built a business conglomerate, leaving an indelible mark on each industry he ventures into.

Born in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, Dr Freeman Osonuga always had a deep-rooted passion for medicine. He studied Medicine and Surgery at Olabisi Onabanjo University, honing his skills and gaining invaluable knowledge in the field. However, his journey didn’t stop there. Driven by a thirst for innovation and a desire to make a broader impact, he set his sights on the world of technology.

Osonuga first gained international recognition when he volunteered as part of the African Union response team during the devastating Ebola virus epidemic in Sierra Leone in 2014. His selflessness and dedication in the face of such a challenging situation earned him praise and admiration worldwide.

In 2016, Dr Freeman Osonuga founded Adloyalty Business Networks, a real estate network marketing firm that quickly gained traction and disrupted the Nigerian real estate industry. AdloyaltyBN, as it came to be known, became Nigeria’s first and largest independent real estate network marketing firm, providing opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs and transforming the way properties were bought and sold. Under his leadership, the company grew exponentially, reaching a milestone of 20,000 realtors by February 2020.

In addition to his success in real estate, Dr Freeman Osonuga has ventured into the world of technology, with a strong focus on proptech. He founded Pilla, a proptech bank that aims to revolutionise the real estate market by providing seamless financial services and products to real estate users. Pilla’s vision is to become a leading proptech bank for African and global real estate investors, builders, and renters. Their mission is to provide real estate-focused financial services and products through innovation and technology, closing the gap between traditional banking and real estate users.

Furthermore, Dr Freeman Osonuga is the driving force behind PropTech Hub Africa Inc., an innovative proptech company that focuses on infrastructure financing, property development and management, consumer property protection, and investment opportunity management. Their mission is to foster the development and deployment of new ideas in the real estate industry through digital technology, investment, and community.

Dr Freeman Osonuga’s contributions to the tech world have not gone unnoticed. He has received numerous accolades and recognition for his groundbreaking work, including being named a One Young World Ambassador and receiving the Sierra Leone Government’s Presidential Meritorious Service Award for his role in containing the Ebola virus.
Outside of his business ventures, Dr Freeman Osonuga remains deeply committed to giving back to society. He founded the Dr Freeman Osonuga Foundation (DFO), a charitable organisation that supports orphans and people with disabilities in Nigeria. Through the foundation, he has profoundly impacted countless individuals’ lives, providing essential resources and opportunities for those in need. His inspiring journey serves as a testament to the power of determination, innovation, and a commitment to making a positive impact.
