Dotun Sanusi, Oseni forge strategic alliance for Oyo 2027

Ahead of the 2027 elections, the Jubril Dotun Sanusi (JDS) Support Group has officially formed a strategic alliance with the Remi Oseni Committee of Friends (ROCOF), a strong supporter base for lawmaker Remi Oseni, who represents the Ido/Ibarapa federal constituency and chairs the House Committee on the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA).

This alliance, formalized during a high-level meeting in Ibadan, unites two significant political forces in Oyo State. Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, in a move signaling his withdrawal from the gubernatorial race, announced his full support for Engr. Aderemi Oseni. The alliance has solidified Oseni’s position as a powerful contender for the upcoming election.

Sanusi, the Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland, described the alliance as a strategic step to transform the political and economic landscape of Oyo State. He praised Oseni’s legislative achievements and his dedication to developmental projects across the state, calling him one of Oyo State’s most effective and committed lawmakers.

Sanusi urged the alliance to engage stakeholders across the state and emphasized the importance of unity and divine guidance for electoral success.

Stakeholders, including market leaders led by the Iyaloja-General of Oyo State, Alhaja Saratu Aduke Konibaje, commended Sanusi’s leadership and his decision to support Oseni.

They urged religious and grassroots leaders to unite behind the alliance for the development of Oyo State, pledging continued support from market associations statewide.

Engr. Aderemi Oseni, in his address, expressed gratitude to Chief Sanusi and the JDS Support Group for their trust in his leadership.

Oseni emphasized the importance of unity in advancing Oyo State’s development and reaffirmed his deep connection to the state as a proud son of the Bogumbe Family from Akufo, Ibadanland.

As part of his commitment to grassroots empowerment, Oseni launched a ₦50 million interest-free loan scheme for market traders across the state.

The initiative, managed by Iyaloja Saratu Aduke Konibaje, aims to strengthen small businesses and lay the foundation for a larger economic empowerment program in the future.
