BAUCHI State Governor, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar has appealed to eligible voters in the State to ensure that politicians who had the opportunity of transforming or turning around the economy of Nigeria in the past but chose to destroy it were not reelected in this year’s general elections.
The Governor who was speaking at a campaign rally in Misau said that Nigerians must ensure that the country consolidates on the gains made by the ruling All Progressives Congress-led administrations at all levels in the past three and a half years.
The Governor reeled out the achievements so far recorded by the administration, especially in the areas of security, anti-corruption, agriculture, and youth and women empowerment scheme programmes.
“If we don’t come out and vote, we’re only voting for the return of the inglorious past. The only way we can ensure that projects and programmes that have a direct bearing on the life of the common man initiated by our Party are sustained is by coming out to vote for us again. Those we defeated in 2015 are planning to come back and return us to the woods. We must stop them,” the Governor warned.
