Don’t stay in a failed marriage ’cos you are a celebrity —Actress Inem Peter warns

The flip side of being a celebrity is the problem of high expectations — of uprightness and flawlessness — celebrities must assume in all things.

But young actress in the Nigerian movie industry, Inem Peters, is of the opinion that certain areas of life that should be devoid of the make believe and pretences of flawlessness that celebrity life recommends. For the Akwa Ibom State-born actress, one of such areas is marriage.

Whoever wears the shoe called marriage knows where it itches, she maintains while talking to Inside Nollywood during the week.

“I cannot judge what happens in another persons home. If a celebrity gets married, has a baby and leaves the marriage that means its not working; and if a marriage is not working you let it go. Being a celebrity doesn’t mean you must stay in a failed marriage.

Perhaps this is why the Houdegbe North American University graduate, who joined the movie industry in 2014, is also experiencing crisis in deciding whether to walk the aisle with the man of her dreams.

“My heart is saying yes to wedding bells but my hand is typing I don’t know yet. Its not my making but if it comes now, I am very ready,” she expressed.

Miss Peters is often described as a multi-talented movie diva partly because she has also dabbled into filmmaking, but most of those who add multi to her talent do so chiefly because of her television body.

“People always react to my curves and it gets to me. Sometimes, it’s embarrassing when people think my small bumbum is too big.

“I walk pass and everyone turns (male and female) to stare at my behind. I have heard people describe me like ‘Ah ah you dont know Inem Peter? That actress wey get big bumbum.’ C’mon it is God gift.  didn’t create it myself,” she said.
