Adebayo Alao-Akala
THE gubernatorial candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) in Oyo state and former governor of the state, Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala, on Wednesday told traders and artisans in the state not to sell their votes, promising that nothing will make him fail in delivering on the electioneering promises he made to them if he is elected.
The ADP flag bearer made the promise at the state secretariat of traders and artisans in Oyo state located at Oje area of Ibadan where he met with sectional leaders of traders and artisans from all towns in Oyo state. He also made the same call and vow at the union house of plank sellers at the plank market in Sango area.
Alao-Akala stated that he is known for all he did for traders and artisans during his first tenure as governor of the state, adding that he has not changed from what he used to be nor will he change from the performing and listening governor that he was known as.
“You know me; I don’t make false promises, I am too old to change from the governor that you know, I am here to make things better, I was named ATM governor not because I am a spendthrift or wasteful person but because I ensured that the economy was buoyant for all and sundry.

“I am using this opportunity to tell you that I will fulfil all I promised you and even do more. I am not a wicked and unapproachable governor as many of you attested. Vote for my party and I will fulfil my promise.
“We have programmes lined up to make life easy for artisans; we will give you interest-free loans, gone is the era of cut throat loans. we will make the economy buoyant and people will patronise you.
“Let’s put an end to suffering in our state by voting for the right people. Vote for people that have experience. Your vote is your power, vote against hunger and suffering,” Alao-Akala stated.
He urged them not to only vote but also talk to their people to vote for ADP as it is the only party with good plans for the people.
