Don’t lose hope in Nigeria’s survival, APC chieftain tells Nigerians

A chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the United States, Otunba Yomi Akingbade, has called on Nigerians not to lose hope in the country despite the current socio-economic and political challenges

Akingbade who also urged Nigerians to have believe in the President Bola Tinubu-led government, pleading to Nigerians to keep faith in Tinubu that God will turn things around positively and make the country grow.

In his Democracy Day message, he noted that the economic policies of the federal government would surely bring about the needed economic turnaround before long.

He implored Nigerians to be patient with President Tinubu and his economic team to fix the nation’s economy with a view to ameliorating the hardship the people are currently going through.

According to him, the resilience of the people brought about the return to democratic governance and sustenance of same for the last 25 years.

He, therefore, called on all state governors to perform their necessary responsibilities to the people of their states and work concertedly with President Tinubu irrespective of their political beliefs.

Akingbade said: “I want to implore our brothers and sisters in Nigeria not to lose hope in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“His economic policies may appear excruciating at the moment but it will achieve the aim of ameliorating the sufferings of the people very soon. All the citizens need doing is be patient with the government for a while.

“The resilience of the citizens led to return to democratic governance in the country and the unbroken 25 years of democracy in the country.I implore Nigerians to be patient for a while and we will get there soonest.”
