THE National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Uche Secondus on Friday warned the All Progressives Congress, APC, and some elements in the Presidency who he labelled cabals not to kill President Muhammadu Buhari with undue pressure of work.
Secondus who spoke in Abuja yesterday while inaugurating 27 Presidential election campaign committees said that from what Nigerians and the international community were witnessing around the President lately, ” it is apparent that he is tired and incapable but they would not let him be.”
He, however, lamented that “for selfish reasons, these power grabbers are putting undue pressure on the President even as it’s evident that he can no longer cope.”
‎According to him, “there is no way this President can cope given what we are witnessing and added to the incompetence in leadership Nigerians have been seeing in the last three years.
“29 days to the Presidential election, the elements in the APC and the cabals in the Presidency ‎to cause chaos in the country with all manners of things, arresting and framing up the members of the opposition with strange charges.
” First it was Senator Dino Melaye, Deji Adeyanju and the late, the Chief Justice of Nigeria, ‎CJN. Nigeria is distress now and is sliding into a state of chaos, this is not the usual time for the Country, we need serious prayer.

” The Cabals are overworking the President even when it is apparent that the man has no capacity to go more, they are not allowing him to rest, do they want to kill him?
” Look at the incident that happened in Lokoja, Kogi State on Wednesday and that of Warri , Delta State on Thursday at the Party’s rallies, at the Warri rally, the President was given the flag of the Party to hand it over to the Delta State gubernatorial candidate of the party, while handing it over to the standard bearer, he addressed him as the Presidential candidate of the party, even when he was quickly corrected, he still made mistake.
” In this 21st century, Nigeria needs a digital and mobile President, in this case, our Party is presenting Alhaji Abubakar Atiku ‎who is agile and ready to turn around the fortune of the country.
‘ Right away the man is in the United States of America where he is expected to meet with top American politicians and government officials.
“The visit has now doused the blackmail on our Presidential candidate, Atiku will restore the image of the country, because of his successful trip, they are panicking, we are not bothered about that.
” Contrary to their propaganda, the man is clean ‎and he has nothing to hide, that’s why he dared them and embarked on the trip in the overall interest of the nation.”
‎Prince Secondus also ‎wrote off the ability of the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Professor Mahmood Yakubu a free, fair and credible election, warning that Nigerians were not ready to take anything less than free, fair and credible polls.
According to him, “our fear is that the INEC Chairman, Prof Mahmood Yakubu lacks the will and courage to ignore the pressure from the APC to conduct a free and transparent election.
“But he should know that he would be held responsible for any fall out from a rigged election.”
The National Chairman while congratulating the new Inspector general of Police, reiterated his earlier call on him to clear the mess left behind by his predecessor and run the Police force professionally and responsibly.
He also explained why the party would continue to protest the membership of Amina Zakari as a National Commissioner of INEC.
According to him, “we called for her resignation from the commission but instead they appointed her as the Chief collation officer, we must continue to oppose her because she is a master rigger, we have evidence of what she did in Ekiti and Osun states.
Meanwhile, Atiku would miss today’s Presidential debate being organised for the Presidential Candidates in the election.
Atiku, according to the National Chairman of the Party, is due back in the country on Sunday.
