Don’t be intimidated by military, police deployment ― Ahmed

Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara State has asked supporters of the Peoples Democratic party (PDP) in the state not to be intimidated by the deployment of security personnel to the state ahead of Saturday’s presidential and National Assembly elections.

Speaking in his home town, Share, in the Ifelodun Local Government Area of the state in continuation of the PDP campaign tour where he also received scores of defectors from Accord Party, Governor Ahmed said that the deployment of soldiers and police personnel to the state can not stop the PDP supporters from voting massively for their candidates during the elections.

He asked members of the party to come out with their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs) and vote for all PDP candidates in the Saturday’s poll elections and that of governorship and state House of Assembly elections on March 2.

Ahmed also urged the electorate to protect their votes on the election day, saying that only the PDP has good plans for the people of the state.

Also speaking, the party’s flag-bearer, Hon. Razaq Atunwa, promised to prioritise the welfare and well being of the people of the state.

He, if elected, his administration will fix more roads , create jobs for the youths and as well empower women.

Earlier, at the palace of the Olupako of Share, Alh Abubakar Garba, the monarch urged political office holders to always fulfill the promises made to electorate during their electioneering campaign.

He said that Governor Ahmed had performed well and expressed confidence that the PDP governorship candidate, Hon. Atunwa will consolidate on the achievements of his predecessor.
