Dogara leads members to condole Chanchangi family

SPEAKER of the House of Representatives, Hon Yakubu Dogara, on Friday, led a delegation of members of the House of Representatives on a condolence visit to the family of the late Alhaji Ahmadu Chanchangi in Kaduna.

It would be recalled that the renowned businessman and a philanthropist passed away on Wednesday.

In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs, Turaki Hassan, the speaker extolled the virtues of the late businessman, describing him as a great father who left a good legacy for his children and the society.

“I can describe him as a great man who did not inherit success himself but turned his life into a success story”, the Speaker said.

“He was a father, a legend and one of the brightest stars who shone in the circle of business in this part of the country.”

The Speaker, who prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased, counselled the children he left behind to imbibe and replicate the good virtues he exhibited while alive.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family in this moment of grief. As the saying goes, a snake doesn’t give birth to a short thing, so my advice is for the sons and daughters he left behind to always remember their heritage,  what their father lived for and believed in and replicate same; this is the only way they can keep his memory alive.”
