Scores of the members of the red and green chambers the 8th National Assembly on Sunday stormed Minna, Niger State, for the burial of Hajiya Aisha Mohammed, mother of Hon Mohammed Bago, a Speakership aspirant in the 9th Assembly who passed away on Saturday.
Amongst them are the outgoing Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara, the House leader and the chosen candidate of the APC for the Speakership position, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, Speakership aspirants, Hon. John Dyegh and Hon Olusegun Odebunmi.
Other are Hons. Mukthar Betara, Zakari Mohammed, Abdulmumuni Jibrin, Rima Shawulu and Abdulsamad Dasuki, the 10-members elect from Niger State including Shehu Sale, Jafaru Agwara, Abdullahi Musa, Abubakar Lado, Shehu Beji, Saidu Umar, Mahmoud Agaie, Abdullahi Kontagora and
Abdullahi Gbatamangi.
Senator-elect, Haliru Jika from Bauchi State, Hon. Yunusa Abubakar from Gombe, Hon. Idris Kabir from Kano State, Abdulsadiq Maiyanma, Rufai Chachangi and Sani Idris Kutigi and over 100 new and the returning members were also on hand to pay their respects to the deceased.

Speaking at the occasion, Hon Dogara who spoke on behalf of the House prayed to God to give the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
According to him: “On behalf of the leadership and entire members of the House of Representatives, I commiserate with our colleague and brother, Hon Mohammed Umar Bago, over the demise of his beloved mother, Hajiya Aishatu Mohammed.
“I pray the Almighty God to grant the entire family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace.”
In his remarks, Hon Mohammed Bago was full of appreciation to the lawmakers for the honour done him with their presence to bid his mother farewell, saying that their presence further showed the level cordial relationship and unity among the members of the 8th National Assembly.
