Published by

One of Nigeria’s foremost female Disk Jockeys, Olawanmi Okeryi, popularly known as DJ Lamborghini or simply DJ Lambo during the week emerged as the president of the Choc Boi Nation recording company.

DJ Lambo broke the record as the first female act to attain such height in the Nigerian music industry.

Choc Boi Nation is a sister arm of the parent body, Chocolate City group, which has star rapper MI Abaga as the Chief Executive Officer.

Okeryi announced her new title by posting a video on her Instagram handle. The caption on the video reads, “Congratulations DJ Lambo on your appointment as President Choc Boi Nation. We believe in your commitment and ability to lead. Chocolate City Music raises its glasses to you as you make history as the first female President.”

She pledged to do her best as president in the video.

DJ Lambo was formerly the personal DJ of MI Abaga before she was signed to Loopy Music in 2013. She was introduced to the Chocolate City group in 2015 after Loopy Music merged with the company. There she grew in rank before emerging the company’s first female president.
