The premiere of the movie, ‘Dither’, took place recently in the city of Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The movie is one of the few gospel movies to attract interest beyond the Christian community as many non-Christians also watched the excitement packed movie.
The movie has since generated much talk, not just because of the producer Feyisayo Makanjuola is a gospel filmmaker and founder of Heagle Height Media, but because it is a gospel movie from Nigeria produced to meet both local and international standards.
The storyline of the movie centres around a young lady who refuses to forgive those who hurt her. She refuses to let go of the past and it slowly consumes and controls her decisions. The truth meant nothing to her as she becomes paranoid and suspicious of every intention people have. This, thus, becomes her greatest challenge.
Nollywood actor, Ndubuisi Anya, who also featured in the movie said: “The script, storyline and final production is a revelation to me. I initially didn’t expect this much work and delivery but the dedication from everyone who contributed to the making of this film was so infectious. I commend Feyisayo for this great work and for casting me, it’s a great film.”
According to Makanjuola, “Movie buffs generally should expect to be well entertained and those who are spiritual enough should tap from the message because theywill be ministered to. This movie is a gospel movie of great motion picture quality, fantastic actors, beautiful storyline and amazing sounds.”
Makanjuola explains further: “For me, my primary objective is to propagate the gospel globally. If I, therefore, need to entertain you to get this message across, so be it. Profitability is good and desirable but for those of us in the gospel movie industry, this is secondary. I just want God to have His way and touch lives through the talent He gave me.
“Dither will be screened in major cinemas all over Nigeria. The movie will also be available on Netflix, YouTube, and DStv. The movie is expected to be on as many platforms as possible”.
