The petitioner claimed that her husband is fond of disappearing from their home without notice.
“We have been married for six years but I have not enjoyed any bit of my marriage. My husband would leave the house for days and anytime I ask about his whereabouts, he would refuse to speak to me for days.
“We have a five-year-old daughter and he refuses to take responsibility for her. I pay her school fees from my meagre savings and also feed and clothe her.
“I want the court to end this union so that I can go my way. I am tired of living in a loveless marriage,” she said.
She further asked the court to grant her custody of their child and make him perform his role as a father. The respondent was however not present in court
The court ordered that the court processes should be served on him while the case was adjourned until March 21.
